On Matchday 22 of the German Bundesliga, Eintracht Frankfurt managed to surprise!
Legionnaire coach Adi Hütter’s team defeats leader and series champion Bayern Munich 2-1 to celebrate their fifth consecutive victory.
Eintracht are also the best team in the first half of the game and are rewarded twice: Kostic makes Süle look bad on the left wing, takes Stangl’s pass to the penalty area and Kamada completes the 1-0 (12th). In the 31st minute of the game, Younes even raised it to 2-0 (31) with a fantastic shot into the far corner.
In the second half, Munich started a real assault, Lewandowski (53rd) brought Bayern in after a strong solo from Sané, but they couldn’t handle any more.
With full success, Frankfurt catches up again with Oliver Glasner’s Wolfsburg and is fourth with 42 points. Bayern are still without a win after winning the Club World Cup, but still lead with 49 points.
