The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of the Interior reported 1,184 new cases. So far there have been a total of 433,487 positive results in Austria. 8,211 people have died in connection with Covid-19 and 411,199 have recovered. A total of 14,077 people in Austria were considered “active” positive, 60 fewer than on Saturday.
The seven-day incidence, the number of new infections per 100,000 residents during this period, was 108.4 on Sunday. The day before it was 109.9. The 14-day incidence was 214.5.
1,311 people were treated for a SARS-CoV-2 infection in hospitals, 60 fewer than the day before. In seven days, the number of Covid hospital patients has dropped by 16 percent.
258 of the Covid-19 patients were in intensive care units, eight fewer than on Saturday. Overall, the number of intensive corona cases was reduced by eleven percent in seven days.
16 more deaths have been reported since Saturday after a corona infection. In absolute numbers, 199 people in Austria have died in relation to the coronavirus in the last seven days. The number of deaths per 100,000 inhabitants is 92.2.
Most of the new infections this time were reported in Lower Austria (254), followed by Vienna (247) and Upper Austria (161). Styria registered 155 cases, Krnten 105, Salzburg 93, Tyrol 74, Vorarlberg 61 and Burgenland 34.
