The Black Wings celebrate a clear 4: 1 (1: 1, 1: 0, 2: 0) away win at Dornbirn in the first game of the Qualifying Round.
The locals go ahead through William Rapuzzi (1st), a minute later Gints Meija pushes the puck over the line – 1: 1 (2nd). Then Linz leaves control to the rival, but they are very solid from behind. Luka Gracnar avoided the deficit against Andrew Yogan in the last minute.
In the second third, the guests continue to act focused and take the lead after another great save by Gracner against Yogan: After a good combination, Juka-Pekka Hytonen crosses Brian Lebler – 1: 2 (33rd).
The Black Wings carry the momentum of the hit with them into the last section. In the 44th minute, Hytonen forged a shot from Lebler into the Kreuzeck – 1: 3. The Bulldogs did not give up, but failed because of Gracnar, who is in high spirits. A few seconds before the end, Julian Pusnik ensures the final score (60./EN).

VSV brings their first win after five losses
At the start of the qualifying round, VSV celebrates an important away win by 5: 3 (2: 3, 1: 0, 2: 0) in the capitals of Bratislava.
From the beginning a fast game develops with many opportunities on both sides. In the second minute the bell rings twice: first Maxime Fortier scores 1-0 after a pass from David Buc, a few seconds later Brock Higgs makes it 2-0. Both times, the eagle’s bottom line is not mapped.

The VSV reacts immediately and comes through a torch from Matt Mangene (4th) to the connecting blow. Ten minutes later, Milos Bubela prevails in the race duel and defeats Jakub Sedlacek with a backhand – 3: 1 (14th). Again the eagles can respond, after a one-two with Scott Kosmachuk Sahir Gill puts it 3: 2 (15th).
In the second third, the game flattens out and both teams hardly take risks. Only in the final minutes does he become dangerous again, in the 40th minute Jordan Caron crosses the defense and makes the 3: 3.
The last stretch is clearly determined by the people of Villach. Caron ties corset – 4: 3 (42). Then Rob Daum’s team checks the puck and the opponent, Felix Maxa (57th), puts the lid on.
VSV celebrate their first victory after five defeats in a row and beat Bratislava for the first time this season. In the table, the Villachers are in fourth place with four points, Bratislava falls to third place with their six bonus points.
Goalkeeper saves 99ers victory
The Graz99ers celebrate an important 3: 2 (0: 1, 3: 0, 0: 1) win against HC Innsbruck thanks to a strong second third and goalkeeper Ben Bowns.
From the beginning, the guests determine the game, Graz does not enter at all. The bell rings for the first time in 16 minutes: After a pass from Daniel Ciampini, Samuel Herr takes the lead (16).
Only in the second section do the hosts follow the game and do it correctly! Head-to-head victory on the right side, Travis Oleksuk spots Ken Ograjensek and sets his timer to 1: 1 (29th). The Styrians added a little later, Lukas Kainz connected a rebound to 2-1 (33rd). A minute later, Adis Alagic made it 3-1 (34th) with a long-range shot.
Haie tries everything again and scores the next goal: Herr maintains the lead for Braden Christoffer – 3: 2 (49th). In the final minutes it gets really dangerous, but the Graz goalkeeper Bowns takes the victory with strong saves.
The 99ers make a place in the table and are second with seven points, Innsbruck (2) takes the Red Lantern of the Black Wings.
