A 58-year-old Austrian is said to have encountered two people in the track area on Friday at the Wien-Mitte rapid transit station on Wien-Landstrasse for inexplicable reasons.

Both people were able to get off the slopes independently. The perpetrator may have been drunk. Fortunately, a train did not enter the station at the time of the crime, police reported.

The suspect was arrested

One of the victims is a 40-year-old Austrian citizen. The man was slightly injured. The second victim likely had a fight with the perpetrator and then fell onto the tracks along with the suspect. However, after the crime, the man fled in an unknown direction and has yet to report to the police.

The incident was seen by several witnesses. Therefore, it is likely that the perpetrator attacked the town for no reason. The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident. He did not reveal himself to be confessed on questioning and was taken to jail.
