Miron Muslic: “I have no experience, but a clear and fearless idea!”

RUSH. In his official introduction as the new head coach of SV Guntamatic Ried, Miron Muslic rose to the pressure. When asked why he was chosen as a coach with no Bundesliga experience, he replied: “Although I have no experience, I have a clear idea and I am not afraid.”

He has been accused of a lack of experience on several occasions throughout his career, for example as a junior coach of the Young Vikings, as an assistant coach at SV Ried or in his last position as head coach of the FAC in the second division. With all these tasks, the native Bosnian was better able to teach his critics. So it was easy for Muslic to accept the job offer as head coach at SV Guntamatic Ried. “I left SV Guntamatic Ried in the summer with the desire to return. It was surprising that it happened so quickly. This task is a matter that matters to me very much.” With a lot of passion, heart and soul, enthusiasm and positive energy, Muscil wants to master the goal of relegation with the team.

“Unpack the boys from their own stable!”

In addition to Muslic, the two assistant coaches Clemens Zulehner and Christian Heinle are new to the wrestling team. “It was time to get the boys out of their own stable,” Muslic said. Clemens Zulehner was born in Rieder, was more recently in Admira and according to Muslic is a specialist in the areas of video and opponent analysis. Second co-coach Christian Heinle will also remain the coach of the Young Vikings and will serve dual roles. Andreas Berktold is still the physical trainer, Hubert Auer the goalkeeping coach. Gerhard Schweizer will also continue to use his coaching experience as an advisor, but not as an assistant coach.

“Club sports mirror”

Managing Director Rainer Wöllinger described the role of the new sports coordinator Wolfgang Fiala as the “sports mirror of the club”. “Besides sporting success and team composition, permeability is also very important to me. That means we want to give young players hope that they can get to the top,” said Fiala. While the coach’s goals tend to relate to the next game and the next one in the short term, as a sports coordinator he also pursues medium and long-term goals.
