Massive pressure from the population now also led the SPÖ and Neos in a negative line: the Federal Council may delay the law beyond January 18

Vienna (OTS) President of the FPÖ NAbg club. Herbert Kickl thanked the countless courageous citizens who have protested the black-green legislative package for the so-called “free trial” in recent days. “If I extrapolate only the emails that reached the FPÖ parliamentary club, it must have been tens of thousands who wanted to make statements, but largely consciously because the parliament’s website does not work in relation to the government’s. it avoided the review period scheduled for a holiday weekend, “Kickl said.

“It is true that the Minister of Health, Anschober, and the president of the National Council, Sobotka, continue to put their heads in the sand in the face of this democratic scandal. However, the notable protest of the population has led the other two opposition parties to a clearly negative line towards this serious attack on the constitution and, above all, on the fundamental rights and freedoms of Austrians, ”Kickl said cheerfully.

The president of the FPÖ club had already asked the SPÖ and Neos, together with the chairman of the liberal parliamentary group in the Federal Council, Christoph Steiner, on December 22 for a joint blockade in the state chamber. The deciding factor is now a coordinated approach to avoid the perseverance of the National Council and to ensure that the planned harassment from January 18 to 24 of citizens who do not want to “break free” is completely avoided.
