Oberstdorf – Monday, December 28, 2020, 11:02 pm

Chaos is brewing at the Four Hills Tournament in Oberstdorf!

After a positive result in the Corona test of the Polish jumper Klemens Muranka, the 26-year-old and the entire Polish team around last year’s winner, Dawid Kubacki, were excluded from the opening competition (all info >>> ).

Now Muranka is said to have tested negative on a second test Monday night. The Polish Ski Federation (PZN) immediately protested to the International Ski Federation (FIS) and demanded that the Polish team be allowed to return to the Oberstdorf ski jump.

A new schedule has already been developed

The prerequisite for this is a third test, which the Poles have already undergone. If these are also negative, nothing stands in the way of a return to the tour, as confirmed by the Polish Association and the FIS. Results are expected Tuesday morning.

In an unscheduled team captains meeting, the FIS agreed with the participating nations that in this case the 62 athletes will start in the competition.

The not yet confirmed schedule foresees that the seven Polish ski jumpers will receive more training jumps from 2:30 pm, before the test race begins at 3 pm The competition from 4:30 pm will be would perform without a knockout mode, so Monday’s qualification, like Philipp Aschenwald’s success, would be irrelevant.
