Val Gardena – Friday December 18, 2020, 3:11 pm

And another Norwegian! Aleksander Aamodt Kilde secures Norway’s next Super-G victory at Saslong.

In Super-G, the Norwegians have triumphed in seven of the last nine races, and on the descent they have achieved three more wins since 2015.

“We know the route very well, the snow is beautiful and technical. And we are off-road, so that’s pretty good for us,” Kilde tries to explain in an interview with ORF about mastering the “Elche”. For him it is Val Gardena’s second victory after 2018 (downhill).

After having to put up with a few setbacks at the start of the season, the overall World Cup winner is more satisfied with his first win of the season: “Skiing is good now, the speed is there. If it fits one hundred percent, you win. That’s very good. “

He positively highlights that, unlike last season, he celebrated his first win at the beginning of winter: “It’s a good feeling, so you can continue working in peace, hopefully more will come.”
