As of Monday, the “hard” lockdown will move to the “easy” lockdown. Starting today, everything is possible again. You can find out what is allowed after blocking here:
Compulsive education
➔ Masks from 10 years old: Students from compulsory school – primary and lower grades – return to class. For the lower level, the mask requirement also applies in the classroom (see page 14).
Christmas sales
➔ Stores: All stores can reopen from January 7th. Mask requirement! Ten square meters of space required per customer.
➔ Shopping center: they open tomorrow. Warning: It is forbidden to stay in the hall, eat or drink.
Hairdressers, cosmetics
➔ Services: Open all services related to the body. That means free rein for hairdressers, cosmetics, manicures, and massages.
Museums, libraries
➔ Culture: Museums and libraries can also reopen their doors on Mondays. Here, too, masks must be worn and ten square meters per visitor must be guaranteed.
Animal parks since Christmas ➔ Zoos: As of December 24, zoos should also reopen. However, this has yet to be written because the Health Minister’s ordinance is only valid until December 23. It is said that a program with children should be possible during the Christmas holidays.
Ski and sled
➔ Sports: Outdoor sports facilities, ski lifts, gondolas and ice rinks should reopen at Christmas. Tobogganing and cross-country skiing are allowed starting the Monday after closing. It is important that there is sufficient distance from other people.
Gastronomy, hotels, theaters and cinemas are closed until January 6. The summary:
Restaurants and cafes
➔ Home delivery: restaurants and bars are closed until January 6. Even after closing, take-out is still allowed here, but open alcoholic beverages are not allowed, according to the “Lex Punch,” from 6 am to 7 pm. Deliveries can be made continuously.
➔ Christmas Markets: closed throughout Austria.
Hotels remain closed
➔ Accommodation: as in Germany, hotels and guesthouses in Austria will be closed until January 6.
Bars and discotheques
➔ Keep closed: This time there is no date for a possible opening of bars, pubs and nightclubs.
Theater, opera, cinema
➔ Culture: Cultural institutions have the prospect of being able to open as of January 7. If so, only with strict personal restrictions.
Exit restriction
➔ Starting at 8pm: Until January 7, departure restrictions apply from 8pm to 6am.
Quarantine after the trip
➔ Ten days: Anyone driving into risk areas, this applies almost everywhere in the world, must be quarantined for 10 days. After 5 days, you can take a free trial.
