ÖSV-Adler Huber flies on the podium in Nizhny Tagil – winter sports

A sense of accomplishment for Austrian ski jumper Daniel Huber. The Salzburg resident finished second in the first Nizhny Tagil competition on Saturday.

Huber only had to admit defeat to Norway’s Halvor Egner Granerud. The Norwegian had celebrated his second World Cup victory with 132.5 and 132.0 meters, 16.3 points ahead of Huber, who sailed at 131.0 and 133.0 meters. Norwegian Robert Johansson sailed from 25th to third place with a 142.5 meter flight.

For Huber, who had to skip the second World Cup season in Ruka after Corona’s outbreak at Springer’s camp, it was the second podium of the season after finishing third at the start of the season in Wisla.

Surprisingly, ÖSV’s second best eagle was Thomas Lackner, who landed fourth with flights of 128.5 and 131.0 meters. Markus Schiffner came to tenth place, Maximilian Steiner achieved 23 World Cup points.
