146 people have already died in connection with the coronavirus in Vorarlberg.

There have been 109 new corona infections in Vorarlberg since midnight Wednesday. There were 100 recoveries.

According to the country’s panel, the number of actively positive people increased slightly from 4 to 2,228 people (at 4 pm). Another five people died with or from a corona infection, bringing the number of deaths in Vorarlberg in connection with the pandemic to 146.

The situation in hospitals is stable

The situation in the Vorarlberg hospitals hardly changed. The number of intensive care patients who had to be treated there for a Covid 19 infection was 29 on Thursday, two fewer than the day before. Of the total of 79 intensive care beds, 32 were still available for all patient groups. A total of 146 patients with a crown were cared for in hospitals, 14 were recently admitted. 17 people were able to leave the hospitals.

A slight improvement was observed in infected hospital employees. 74 were actively positive on Thursday, twelve less than the day before, another 23 were isolated as contact persons (minus 14).

Figures of the municipalities

In 13 communities in Vorarlberg there were exactly 50 or more people infected on Thursday. In some cases, more than a hundred infections were reported in Bregenz, Feldkirch and Lustenau, Dornbirn, as the largest city in Vorarlberg, remained the municipality with the highest number of infections. Nine municipalities, mostly small communities, were “crown free”.

The 7-day incidence is steadily falling

According to the crown board of the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), Vorarlberg has a value of 255 for the incidence of seven days per 100,000 inhabitants.

With 255 new infections per 100,000 residents in the past seven days, the state fared better than Salzburg, Upper Austria, Carinthia, Styria and Tyrol.

The Austrian average on Thursday was 292.

The four Vorarlberg districts now have a 7-day incidence of less than 300. The Dornbirn district has even slipped below the 200 mark.
