More than 1.4 million Upper Austria will have the opportunity to take the Corona test for free from December 11-14.

In cooperation with the administrative authorities of the district, cities and municipalities, 150 locations were selected, spread throughout the state, where almost 600 test roads will be available. In order to operate the test stations and to be able to guarantee an orderly process and without risk of infection for all those involved, around 5,700 people, including medical specialists, administrative personnel and people with support activities, will be on duty per test day.

People with a positive test result will be informed of the test result by SMS or email shortly after the test. Until the result of the PCR test, these people have to be quarantined at home. Each tested person receives an additional procedure information sheet directly at the test station.

The personal data sheet required for this can be printed at home after registration. This saves valuable time at the test station and avoids crowds and waiting times. The state of Upper Austria requests that you print the data sheet and take it with you for testing. If the form is forgotten at home, the person will, of course, continue to be examined on the site, but then they will have to fill out the data sheet on the site.
People without Internet access can come directly to the test station. However, you are asked to use online registration as much as possible to avoid crowds and waiting times.

· If I am positive, do I have to take time off? What about continuous payment of wages?
This is regulated in the same way as previously handled in the case of an infection: the person is officially segregated, the employer is entitled to reimbursement of costs according to Section 32 of the Epidemic Law. If it turns out that a person who tested positive for the antigen test for the first time is negative on the PCR test after all, people will receive notification to the employer if necessary for the period in which they are separated.

The swab is taken through the nose with a cotton swab. Access through the nose is recommended as standard by the WHO.
· Were enough test kits sent to Upper Austria?
