163 new infections and four more deaths – coronavirus –

The number of actively infected people fell to 2,202 in Vorarlberg. Four more people died Wednesday.

Since midnight Tuesday, 163 new cases of Covid have been recorded in Vorarlberg, with 249 recoveries.

This brings the number of actively infected people from 90 to 2,202 people. This corresponded to the state at the end of October. Four more people died from or with the coronavirus on Wednesday, bringing the death toll to 140.

Stable situation in hospitals

The situation in the country’s hospitals remained stable. Of the 79 intensive care beds nationwide, 31, the same number as the last, were occupied by patients with a crown. Currently, 29 intensive care beds were still available for all patient groups on Wednesday. A total of 152 corona patients were hospitalized in the hospitals.

There was a slight relaxation in the number of infected hospital employees. 86 (minus five) were infected with the corona virus, 37 (minus eight) other employees were quarantined as contact persons.

Figures of the municipalities

As of Wednesday afternoon, there were 13 municipalities in Vorarlberg with exactly or more than 50 actively infected. In four municipalities, the number of cases exceeded (by far) 100, with the city of Dornbirn (227) ahead of Bregenz (209), Feldkirch (189) and Lustenau (121) leading the way. Almost two-thirds of all active coronavirus infections in Vorarlberg were distributed among these 13 communities. The municipalities of Elfder 96 Vorarlberg were free of the corona virus.

Seven-day incidence

According to the crown board of the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), Vorarlberg has a value of 295 for the incidence of seven days per 100,000 inhabitants.

With 295 new infections per 100,000 residents in the past seven days, the state fared better than Salzburg, Upper Austria, Carinthia, Styria and Tyrol.

The Austrian average was 311.
