On Sunday, 4,047 new corona infections were recorded in Austria. Most of the new infections occurred in Lower Austria.
With 4,047 new infections reported by the Ministry of the Interior and Health on Sunday, there was a decrease compared to the previous day (4,669) and Sunday of the previous week (5,226). Since the number of those who have recovered in 6,301 was again higher than the number of new patients, the number of those currently infected has dropped to 59,605 (minus 2,341).
87 more deaths related to the virus
Additionally, 87 deaths were reported on Sunday, bringing the number to a total of 3,105. So far there have been 279,708 positive crown test results in Austria. Hospital numbers were virtually unchanged compared to the previous day: 4,251 (minus 28) people were treated in Austrian hospitals, of which 691 (plus 3) were in intensive care units.
