Johannes Lamparter has the best chance of his second podium in the third competition of the Nordic Combined World Cup in Ruka.
Since Sunday’s show jumping competition has to be canceled due to wind, the provisional evaluation round on Thursday will be used. Consequently, Lamparter will start the decisive 10km cross-country race in third place at 2:55 pm He is 26 seconds behind German leader Manuel Faißt. Eight seconds ahead of Lamparter, Norwegian Jens Luraas Oftebro ranks second.
Styrian Franz-Josef Rehrl is 1:02 behind in sixth place. With Mario Seidl in twelfth place (+1: 52) and Thomas Jöbstl in fourteenth (+1: 56), there are two other ÖSV athletes in the top 15.
Norwegian Jarl Magnus Riiber is not there. The double winner on Friday and Saturday was disqualified in the provisional competition for an incorrect outfit.
