The rejection of direct or indirect coercion during vaccination or testing remains in force – everyone must make a personal decision
Vienna (OTS) – Chairman of the Federal Party of the FPÖ NAbg. Norbert Hofer makes it clear on the basis of the most recent discussions about the so-called mass tests that the FPÖ does not give any recommendation to participate or not participate in the tests. Norbert Hofer: “It should be clear that neither tests nor vaccines should be subjected to direct or indirect coercion, for example, through the repression of people who decide not to carry out the test or vaccinate.”
However, the FPÖ does not recommend not taking part in the tests: “That is the decision of each citizen and it certainly depends on their personal living environment.”
The fact is independent of the fact that the Ministry of Health, in its “Austrian Testing Strategy – SARS-CoV-2” published on October 13, 2020, questions the usefulness of mass testing. It literally says in this document on page 4: “Testing without good suspicion also increases the number of false positive results and overloads existing testing capacity.” Why the Federal Government once again clearly contradicts its own Ministry of Health will continue to be debated.
Due to the precarious situation in nursing homes and homes for the elderly, Norbert Hofer once again renewed the urgent requirement to provide skills primarily for its residents, as well as for health and care staff and visitors. “It is not the ski slopes that come first, but the lonely people who cannot see their loved ones in the last phase of their lives.”
