Drugs and weapons: police discovered two drug rings in the Schärding district

As a result of extensive investigations, drug investigators from the Schärding criminal services group in the Schärding district were able to unearth two drug trafficking networks with a total of six suspects. 40 people were shown in a row.

SCHÄRDING DISTRICT. The first ring was discovered in early September. There, on the order of the Ried prosecutor, the police carried out house searches of a 22-year-old and a 20-year-old. Since the 22-year-old was suspected of illegally possessing weapons, Cobra was there. Police also found what they were looking for in the apartment: marijuana, cocaine and cash along with a gun. In addition, a 21-year-old from the Schärding district and a 28-year-old Viennese were in the apartment, which was also the subject of the investigation. The trio were provisionally arrested, their weapons were seized and temporary gun bans were imposed.

Smuggled drugs from Vienna and abroad

During interviews, the Viennese admitted that he had bought marijuana in Vienna and transported it to Schärding to sell it here. The 21-year-old admitted that he had already sold marijuana and smuggled in additional quantities from Germany and Amsterdam, some of which were profitable. The drug dealer’s department also served as a drug hangout, where marijuana and cocaine were also passed to youth. The investigation revealed that another man, aged 24, had smuggled and sold search agents as a trafficker. During the search of his house, the police again obtained several drugs and cash. The defendant was arrested.

Insured cash and packing material

The second ring was collected in early November during three more house searches conducted by Schärdingen police officers together with investigators from the State Criminal Investigation Office. Marijuana tablets, crystalline MDMA, cocaine and XTC were found in the three suspects, ages 25, 27 and 29. The police also obtained cash and numerous packing materials. The three defendants were arrested and the 25 and 27-year-old traffickers were taken into custody. Numerous clients of these defendants are reported.
