The Linz Neos member of the National Council, Felix Eypeltauer, called for Upper Austria “protection concepts and rapid tests in nursing homes” as soon as possible.
The head of the FP Landtag Club, Herwig Mahr, appealed to Social Lander Birgit Gerstorfer (SP) that a concept of crisis was “the central task of the first minute”. Gerstorfer: They have developed detailed hygiene concepts and toughened visiting rules much earlier than required by the federal government.
Since last Tuesday, home visits in Upper Austria are prohibited.

- Yesterday, Thursday, the number of current infections in Upper Austria dropped from 14,627 to 14,173 because more people have recovered than tested positive. The crisis management team recorded 16 more deaths (one of them as a late June report). The number of corona intensive care patients increased from 133 to 138 (with 150 intensive care beds available, which can be increased again to 200). More than 40,000 people are now in quarantine.
