According to the draft regulations that KURIER has, the exit restrictions will be tightened as of Tuesday to the extent that they are also applied during the day. In practice, this means that the private living area can only be left for the following reasons:

– Avoid an “immediate danger” that exists to the life, limbs or property of a person

– Contact restriction: Apart from the people you live with, you can only have “contact” with your partner or close relatives who do not live in the same household and with whom you meet “regularly several times a week.” This applies to people over the age of six.

– One helps people who need support or fulfills family duties (for example, taking care of children)

– You cover the “basic needs of daily life”, that is: you go to the supermarket to go shopping

– Drive to or from work

– Stays outdoors to play sports or to go for a walk (says the regulation, for “mental and physical relaxation”).

– Basic religious needs are “satisfied”. This includes visits to the cemetery, but also visits to church services, with a minimum distance and a mask.

There are no other reasons to move in “public spaces”. The legal minimum distance of one meter continues to apply, as does the mask requirement in enclosed public spaces.

According to the draft, the lockdown will end on December 6, provided the dramatic numbers of new infections pick up. Previously, December 8 was rumored to be the end.
