In Burgenland there are currently 47 new infections since the previous day. A 91-year-old man from Oberwart District died.
BURGENLAND. According to Coronavirus coordination staff, there have been 47 new infections in Burgenland since yesterday. A total of 1,173 people have already recovered (26 compared to yesterday). The number of people currently infected has increased to 435, the total number of confirmed cases is 1,733 (as of October 25 / 3:00 p.m.).
Also, Burgenland province has another death to complain about. A 91-year-old man from the Oberwart district died in connection with COVID-19 *. This means that the total number of people who have died from COVID-19 in Burgenland so far is 17. In total 64,395 tests have been conducted so far.
30 patients in hospitals
In Burgenland hospitals, 30 people with COVID-19 are currently being treated in isolation, one less than yesterday. Three of them are in intensive care.
1,587 people are under officially ordered quarantine.

30,290 infected people in Austria
So far, there have been a total of 82,673 positive cases in Austria as a whole, 979 people died in relation to the coronavirus *. 57,858 people have recovered, currently 30,290 infected with Covid19.
1,051 patients are in hospital treatment, 174 of them in intensive care units.
* Every deceased person who previously tested positive for COVID is listed in the statistics as a “death from COVID”, regardless of whether they were caused directly by the consequences of the viral illness itself or “with the virus” (a potentially different cause of death) died.
