Almost the entire state of Salzburg is now red with traffic lights, which means stricter measures for Flachgau, Pongau and Pinzgau. They apply from Saturday at midnight. The respective ordinance of the country was published today at noon.

Not just one, but four of the five districts of the state of Salzburg are now red with current traffic lights: Pinzgau, Pongau, Flachgau and Tennengau. The city of Salzburg and Lungau are changing from yellow to orange. “We have an increasing number of infections across the country. The biggest ‘jump’ this time was in Pinzgau, from yellow to red. This is mainly due to large family groups,” State Medical Director Petra Juhasz said in a broadcast on Thursday night.

The same measurements for all red districts

Regarding the new measures for the red districts, the state of Salzburg announced a corresponding ordinance in the morning at the request of SALZBURG24. The goal is to proceed as uniformly as possible across the state, Salzburg state spokesman Franz Wieser said in an interview with S24 on Friday.

The ordinance was published around noon. In a first statement, Governor Wilfried Haslauer (ÖVP) said: “We continue to do everything in our power to avoid a shutdown. That is why the measures in the country are tightening even more. For me, the focus is on avoiding a mosaic of measures. The same measures also apply in districts with the same traffic light color. “

Measurements for the whole country at a glance

  • 10:00 pm curfew with guest registration
  • 100 people at funerals
  • Event restrictions according to the Federal Ordinance on Covid-19 Measures
  • Private parties outside the living space are prohibited, which is extensively and rigorously controlled by the executive.
  • State recommendation: as much home office as possible
  • State recommendation: Kindergarten children over three years of age must be delivered by their parents to the institution, but the decision in this regard corresponds to the institution itself.
  • Gyms are closed for the after-school area

This also applies in the red districts.

  • Full ban on events (sports / music / firefighting exercises etc) – read all the details about the sports ban in Salzburg HERE.
  • Occasional open air markets remain permitted under COVID-19-MV.
  • If an event has already been approved at the time this ordinance goes into effect, but could no longer be approved due to the new ordinance, it may no longer take place.

Regulation in high-level sports:

Sporting events in first-class sport are permitted anywhere in the country if they are held as part of a national or international competition. No public indoors; outdoors, the upper limit applies to a maximum of 1,500 people with assigned and marked seating. This should ensure the games at Red Bull Arena with an audience in the Flachgau community of Wals-Siezenheim.

The regulation applies until November 15

The new state measures regulation will apply from Saturday, October 24 at midnight until probably November 15. It has already been brought to the attention of the Federal Minister of Health, Social Affairs, Attention and Consumer Protection. The same goes for all mayors and social partners, he concludes.

No other community quarantined at the moment

State spokesman Wieser emphasized on Friday that, in addition to Kuchl, another community will be quarantined. Governor Wilfried Haslauer made this clear in a statement Wednesday.
