LINZ. “Protecting the elderly and people in need of care has the highest priority. Thanks to the strict hygiene rules that apply to both staff and residents in Linz, it has so far been possible to avoid larger clusters in nursing homes. The case of the current group at the Kleinmünchen senior center shows that professional screening and accurate tests allow quick action. Safety precautions were immediately increased: staff work in protective suits and crews are responsible for each floor and are not allowed to gather. Unfortunately, we had to impose a ban on family visits, but this only applies as long as it is absolutely necessary, ”report Mayor Klaus Luger and Deputy Mayor for Social Affairs Karin Hörzing.
