A total of 21 people tested positive at the Kindberg nursing home: 10 residents, 11 employees and two died.
The Covid pandemic has been occupying the premises of the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag Social Welfare Association (SHV) for many months and has worsened notably, especially in recent days.
At the Kindberg nursing home, ten residents and eleven employees tested positive for Covid based on the current status (Monday, 3pm).
“Now there are two deaths, it is still not clear if they died with or from Covid-19,” explains SHV managing director Oliver Wunsch. Of the ten residents suffering from corona, three are in the hospital, seven were segregated into a separate department.
When the first positive case occurred, all necessary safety precautions were taken in the house, the residents’ area was cordoned off, and the affected employees were officially separated.
The traffic light in Corona turned red for the Kindberg nursing home (very high risk). Regular operation is carried out under the highest hygiene and safety precautions and protective measures. The Haus Kindberg is currently not accessible.
“We have prepared well in advance for a possible Covid threat, there are sufficient quantities of protective clothing in stock and on site. All necessary measures are clearly defined and communicated and implemented immediately. My thanks to the Kindberger workforce, who have accomplished extraordinary things during this time, ”said Oliver Wunsch.
