In view of the rapid increase in the number of infections in Tennengau over the weekend, the state of Salzburg decided to tighten the rules for all of Tennengau on Sunday night. A total event ban applies as of Tuesday, private parties outside the living space are prohibited. Since the number of people infected with Covid-19 in Kuchl is particularly high, the curfew in the community will also be brought forward to 5 p.m., the state announced Sunday night.
All sports and music festivals are affected by the event ban, and firefighting exercises and training are also included. The infection process of the last days and weeks would have made these measures necessary. While there were around 85 people undergoing active testing for Covid-19 in the Hallein district in the middle of last week, this number rose to 145 at 8:30 am on Sunday. Calculated for 100,000 inhabitants, this corresponds to 238 people in Tennengau, the national average is currently 90. In Kuchl, with 61 active cases, this value is 827.
