That’s more than 1,200 more than on Wednesday. A new high was reported since April at 2828. As of Thursday, at least 310,144 people in Germany were infected with the virus. According to the institute, the number of deaths increased by 16 to 9,578.
In response to the increasing number of cases, the German federal states have decided that tourists within Germany can only be accommodated if they can show a negative corona test that is not older than 48 hours. This should apply to travelers from areas with more than 50 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days.
