The Health Ministry spoke of an alarming rise in new infections of 2.3 percent the day before. The current increases in some neighbors are dramatic: the Czech Republic recorded a 5.1 percent daily increase from 3,796 new confirmed cases, Slovakia was a 6.2 percent increase, Hungary was more than 4.8 percent. According to data from the Ministry of the Interior, Austria now has a seven-day incidence of 56.2. There were more than 50 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days in Vienna (113.0), Tirol (52.7) and Vorarlberg (50.4).
