The number of Covid 19 patients treated at the Austrian hospital rose to more than 450 on Monday. In a 24-hour comparison, there were 23 additional hospitalizations. Of the now 469 patients, 88 were treated in intensive care units, four more than the day before. There were also three other deaths, and thus 790 people who have died from the coronavirus. 556 new corona cases faced 463 people recovered in one day (at 9.30am).
In the case of corona cases, there has been an increase from 90 to 8,590 cases since Sunday morning. 4,538 of them concerned Vienna, 1,196 Lower Austria, 700 Upper Austria and 602 Styria. 552 active cases were reported in Tyrol, 444 in Vorarlberg, 279 in Salzburg, 145 in Burgenland and 134 in Krnten, according to the daily update of the Ministry of the Interior and Health.
A total of 43,432 tests for SARS-CoV-2 in Austria so far have been positive. Most of the new cases were registered in Vienna with 242 cases compared to the day. In Lower Austria 117 cases were added, in Upper Austria 53 and in Styria 44. In Salzburg 31 new positive tests were reported, in Tirol 27, in Vorarlberg 26 and in Burgenland 10 and in crowns 6.
14,493 tests were carried out in 24 hours, at least 154 in Burgenland and 190 in Krnten. In contrast, there were 3,682 tests in Vienna and 3,070 in Lower Austria and 3,029 in Upper Austria. 1,882 samples were evaluated in Styria, 1,023 in Vorarlberg, 850 in Tyrol and 613 tests in Salzburg. 1,569,992 tests for the coronavirus have been carried out across Austria since the outbreak of the pandemic.
