Four deaths from corona in 24 hours

In Vorarlberg and Lower Austria, one person died from the coronavirus. There have been two more deaths in Vienna in the last 24 hours.

However, there are two additional deaths. They are a 96-year-old man and a 90-year-old woman, both with previous illnesses. This means that 246 people have died from the corona virus in Vienna to date.

22 deaths in Vorarlberg, 19 new infections

In Vorarlberg, one person died on Monday from or with the corona virus. It was the 22nd death of Covid-19 in the state since the pandemic began. In addition, 19 new infections were registered in the last 24 hours, reported the state medical direction. 24 people reported that they were healthy again, so the number of those who tested positive fell to 438.

13 of the 19 new infections can be traced to the environment of previously infected people. In another case, the infection probably occurred during a stay in Bosnia. In five positive tests, the sources of infection were initially unclear. Eight people were in hospital treatment, three of them in the intensive care unit.

74 years old died at Melk State Hospital

According to Bernhard Jany from the Lower Austrian State Health Agency, a 74-year-old man died in connection with the corona virus at the Melk State Clinic. In hospitals in Lower Austria, the number of deaths from Covid 19 rose to 112.

The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Lower Austria rose by 117 to 6,549 on Monday morning. With 5,241 recovered, there were 90 more than Sunday, according to state medical personnel. A total of 112 deaths in relation to Covid-19 in the state are to be lamented. Therefore, 1,196 people were considered to be currently ill. So far 263,105 tests have been carried out.

508 people infected in Tyrol: the situation in hospitals remains stable

As of Monday night, 508 people in Tyrol were infected with the corona virus, 28 less than 24 hours earlier. Over the course of the day, 30 new positive test results were added, while 79 more people had recovered since Sunday night. The situation in the hospitals remained stable, as it had been for months: 29 corona patients were treated in normal wards, four were still in intensive care units.

5,399 people in the state were considered to have recovered from the virus. To date, 228,732 tests have been carried out. The state capital, Innsbruck, which was changed to “orange”, had the highest number of people infected by Covid with 162, followed by the “yellow” district of Innsbruck Land with 120. In third place was the “orange” district of Schwaz with 75 current cases.

Ten new coronavirus infections in Burgenland

Currently 145 active cases of Covid-19 are reported in Burgenland. Ten new infections have been recorded since Sunday, and ten people have also recovered, Coronavirus coordination staff reported Monday. 646 people, 39 more than on Sunday, are under officially ordered home quarantine.

A total of 612 people in Burgenland are considered to have recovered. So far 768 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed. Currently, six patients are being treated in the hospital, two of them in the intensive care unit.
