Kristina Inhof never went to dance school. On Friday she will present her first dance show.
“I’m sure I’m nervous. That is the highlight of my career, ”says Kristina Inhof. She will host “Dancing Stars” starting Friday after Mirjam Weichselbraun, who lives in London, canceled due to Corona. “I know I have gained a lot of live experience in sports, and I can trust that,” says Inhof.
In 2009 he stood in front of the camera for the first time, worked for Vienna Online, for W24 and hosted the UEFA Champions League in Puls4. She has been at the ORF since 2016, moderating football, also “The Great Chance of Choirs” and since 2018 “Alles Opernball”.
As a woman, she first had to assert herself in the male dominance of soccer. “That is only possible with competence and willpower.” Despite years of handball training, she couldn’t take herself to a top-level sport: “For reasons of time. I didn’t want to subordinate everything to sport ”. She studied sports science in Vienna and Las Palmas, and does not need to be explained anything about football. “It was easier than I thought because I discovered that everyone respects me and sees me as equals, my colleagues and footballers.” Now dance is added, Inhof wasn’t even in dance school: “All these dances are new territory for me.”
Strict crown requirements
He only met co-host Klaus Eberhartinger during the promo session. “I realized how much the DNA of the ‘dancing stars’ carries.” Corona’s requirements are strict: dance couples will not have any contact with each other (each couple has their own box) and they are not allowed to use public transportation. The safe distance makes it difficult for choreographers to perform group dances. Only a few fans, mostly family members, can enter the ballroom. “The longer Corona lasts, the more it affects the psyche,” says Inhof. You need strategies to stay optimistic. How is your “I have decided that I go to sleep every night with a positive thought.”
