Around 9 am on Tuesday, a robbery occurred at a jeweler in Vienna-Favoriten. Currently, the police are searching for two masked men and a police helicopter is also in action.
Two perpetrators attacked a jeweler in Vienna-Favoriten on Tuesday morning. The police came out with a large number to search. “About 30 personnel on the ground and a helicopter in the air” searched the area around the crime scene in the late morning, police spokesman Markus Dittrich reported. The men had fled on foot.

Around 9 a.m., the duo entered the store and threatened the employee, according to the spokesperson, with mouth and nose protection, sunglasses and caps. It was not initially clear if it was a weapon or the range of the loot.
The employee was unharmed at the Favoritenstrasse store. She described one of the two perpetrators as remarkably tall, around 1.90 meters. According to her statements, the robbers were carrying a black sports bag. The evaluation of the images from the jeweler’s surveillance cameras was ongoing.
