Tomorrow, Anschober will make a statement on the corona pandemic at 10.30 a.m. The measures currently being evaluated were the subject of massive criticism. Anchober had promised over the weekend that he wanted to incorporate suggested changes.
“Back to the beginning”, he wants about the deputy head of the SP, Jrg Leichtfried, as he said when entering the ministry. The Freedom Party had sent its health spokesman Gerhard Kaniak, and the FP also wants the “ruined draft” withdrawn. For Neos Vice Club boss Gerald Loacker, the draft is a “constitutional blunder.” The Greens were represented by the president of the club Sigrid Maurer, the vice president of the club boss, August Wginger.
“Good start” for Anschober
After the meeting, Anschober said he wanted to involve Parliament more. Any regulation that strongly interferes with fundamental rights and freedoms should be dealt with in future by the main committee of the National Council, he said on Monday afternoon after a meeting with representatives of the parliamentary group.
Anchober described the discussion with representatives of all the parliamentary parties as a “good start to a discussion process.” This was preceded by criticism from, among others, opposition to the novel. Among the statements are “many constructive and exciting solutions,” said the minister.

Prohibition of entry outside the private area
In addition to the involvement of the main commission, there was another concession from the minister to the parliamentary groups: the crown traffic light, which will be lit on Friday, will be better anchored in the law. Furthermore, it should be clarified in the new bill that the entry bans anchored therein do not apply to the private sector. And, of course, more critiques of the evaluation process will be taken into account.
Opposition reactions
The opposition was cautiously satisfied with the result. “It was a first conversation,” said SP Deputy Chief Jrg Leichtfried. FP health spokesman Gerhard Kaniak is also waiting: the next draft will see if the criticism has been taken seriously. Gerald Loacker, vice president of the Neos, who also wants to wait for the ministry’s next draft, also acknowledged a “first step.”
“In general, a very constructive conversation” also saw the president of the VP club and thus the governing partner of Anschober’s party, August Wginger. He denied any “coalition stumbling” on this issue. And Sigrid Maurer, the president of the Greens club, was “sure that we will find a good solution together.”
