After harsh criticism, a meeting will take place today between the club’s leaders and the Minister of Health, Anschober. As a result, the new drafts of the crown laws should be improved.
Health Minister Rudolf Anschober (Greens) welcomes club leaders from parliamentary parties at a meeting today, Monday afternoon. It is about the bitter criticism of the draft of the amendment to the Epidemic Law and the Law of Covid-19 Measures. The opposition parties weren’t exactly conciliatory beforehand.
Criticisms of the opposition
SPÖ deputy club chief Jörg Leichtfried sees a “limiting legislative proposal” allowing “house arrest by ordinance for all of Austria”. The president of the FPÖ club, Herbert Kickl, believes that the only content of the discussion can only be “the withdrawal of this failed and disorderly draft”. For Neos deputy club chief Gerald Loacker, the draft is also a “constitutional blunder.” Anschober had announced that he would respond to constructive criticism.
