Three new infections – 65 active cases in Vorarlberg – Coronavirus –

In Vorarlberg, 1,085 people tested positive for the virus as of Saturday afternoon. 1,000 of them recovered and 20 died.

Compared to the previous day, there were three new infections in Vorarlberg on Saturday.

Of the three newly infected two come out Bregenz, a person lives in Lustenau. In all likelihood, an infection can be traced back to a vacation in Turkey. The entire family has been in home quarantine since their return. The source of infection in a Bregenz person who must be treated in hospital is unclear. Since the test was negative before the return flight from Turkey, the state of health suddenly deteriorated in Vorarlberg. The other two people have no symptoms.

Five people have recovered since the day before. This has brought the number of people currently actively testing positive in Vorarlberg to 65. Currently, three corona patients are receiving hospital treatment.

Most of the cases are currently in the Bludenz district (24). There are 21 active cases in the Bregenz district and eleven in the Dornbirn district. Nine infected people are expelled from the Feldkirch district.

To date, there are active corona cases in 20 of the 96 communities in Vorarlberg. Most of those infected are in Bludenz (14) and Lustenau (6).

A total of 61,671 corona tests have been conducted at Vorarlberg since March.

In Austria, 395 new SARS-CoV-2 infections were found within 24 hours by testing. The Interior Ministry announced this on Saturday morning. The day before there were 229 infections.

So far there have been 26,985 positive results in Austria. To date, 733 people in Austria have died from Covid-19.

With nearly 27,000 positive tests for SARS-CoV-2 so far in the context of the pandemic, 22,866 patients have been recovered. On Saturday morning, 144 people were in hospital treatment in Austria due to the corona virus, 30 of them in intensive care units.

The current figures for Austria with 395 new infections in 24 hours are apparently significantly higher compared to Germany ten times higher. There, 1,479 infections were officially reported across the country.
