Scandal among leaders
LASK has largely violated the crown measures taken by the Austrian football association in relation to team training. As the League Association officially announced on Thursday, the proceedings had already begun in the responsible Senate1 “due to a possible violation of the basic idea of fair play.”
In several videos you can see how coach Valérien Ismaël’s club, currently the leader of the Bundesliga league, conducts regular team training with physical contact. According to an association decision on April 16, professional clubs in Austria can only train in small groups, as in Germany, as soon as the responsible authorities approve. Team training is allowed starting May 15 at a minimum.
Several clubs, such as the persecutors Red Bull Salzburg and Austria Vienna, have complained in public communications about Linzers’ behavior and asked for the consequences. “We hope that those responsible act consistently because government regulation and the concept of fair play have been clearly violated. … In any case, this is pure poison for our efforts and is simply free of discipline and selfish,” says Peter. Stöger, FK Sports Director.

Cameras installed illegally? LASK reports this
LASK announced Thursday afternoon in a press release that it had filed a complaint about industrial espionage. On Wednesday, two masked people were said to have entered the club’s facilities in the early morning to illegally install surveillance cameras.
“Due to the second incident in a very short time, we decided to go to the press. We are surprised that there are obviously third parties who are willing to use criminal energy to enter our club facilities to participate in industrial espionage. The perpetrators were filmed and are now under investigation, ”says LASK Managing Director Andreas Protil.
