On Tuesday, the number of people who tested positive so far increased from 885 to 886. However, only 20 people are still actively suffering from the coronavirus.

As of Tuesday afternoon, 886 people tested positive for the coronavirus in Vorarlberg. This is one more person than the day before.

In Vorarlberg, however, 847 people are considered recovered. The death toll has remained constant at 19 for days.

This means that 20 people in Vorarlberg are still actively suffering from the coronavirus. It is the lowest since March 12.

Active people are distributed relatively evenly in the four districts of Vorarlberg. In the Dornbirn and Bludenz districts, five active patients are registered, in the Bregenz and Feldkirch districts, four each.

84 of the 96 Vorarlberg community are currently considered “crown free”. This means that only twelve municipalities currently have positive crown cases. Most of the active people are currently in Feldkirch (3). In the cities of Bludenz, Bregenz, Dornbirn and Hohenems, two people currently suffer from Covid-19.

Figures for Austria

Three other people died Monday through Tuesday (at 9:30 a.m.) in Austria or with a coronavirus infection. The number of deaths so far has increased to 623, the Ministry of Health and the Interior said in a press release. 87 people have been recovered since the previous day. As a result, the number of active patients decreased from 1,201 to 1,190 cases in a daily comparison.

So far, a total of 15,961 people have tested positive, 79 more than on Monday. The relatively high increase was due to Vienna, where, according to the city’s crisis team, cases from previous days diagnosed with a data transmission problem in a private laboratory were added to the statistics. 14,148 people in Austria are now considered healthy again.

Of the 1,190 people currently ill, 264 were in hospitals, 15 fewer than the day before. 59 of these were seen again in intensive care units, a drop of nine compared to the previous day. In Vienna, the number of hospitalizations fell in the double-digit range to 97. There were not 19 Covid patients undergoing hospital treatment in Burgenland, only one in Carinthia and two in Vorarlberg. On Tuesday morning, 329,314 tests were performed (also at 9:30 a.m.).
