ME.Wuhan is said to test the coronavirus in the entire population of eleven million people after new infections have occurred in the city for the first time since the full curfew. According to a document by the anti-virus agency in Wuhan, which has been quoted in Chinese state media by the Bloomberg news service, all parts of Wuhan should develop a plan on how they want to screen each resident within ten days. The plan is to prioritize testing of risk groups and residential complexes, according to the document.
On May 10 and 11, six new cases of crown were reported. These were residents who were already quarantined with asymptomatic courses and have now been given a positive evaluation. All six appeared in the same residential complex. These are the first cases of new infection since Wuhan lifted the curfew on April 8 after 76 days.
On Monday, Mi Feng, a spokesperson for the National Health Agency, said new infections had occurred in seven Chinese provinces in the past 14 days. “The cases where multiple people are infected at the same place are increasing,” says Feng.
Fear of a second wave is growing in China. On Sunday, the city of Shulan, which borders North Korea in the northeast of the country, imposed a curfew on entire districts after eleven new corona infections were discovered. In China, bars and cinemas are still closed, social gatherings are severely restricted, and masks are required when using transportation, in stores, and in public facilities.
