Passus dropped, restrictions no longer exist. Now you can also use the means of transport for leisure activities.
Since the crown’s protective measures were relaxed on Tuesday, there have been no restrictions on the use of public transportation. The passage, according to which trips abroad (which does not serve certain purposes) must be waived, has been deleted without replacement. Of course, wearing a mouth and nose protector is mandatory for each use.
Until now it is only possible in 4 cases
Until now, according to the decree of the Minister of Health Rudolf Anschober (Greens), the use of public transport was only allowed in four cases: to avoid immediate danger to life, limbs and property, to provide assistance to people who they need it and to go shopping (“Cover the basic necessities”) and to go to work.
There are no “public” trips
However, the use of public transport was not allowed for other routes. This affected the fifth exception when leaving the apartment: entering “public places outdoors” (alone or with people from the same home or with pets). These restrictions no longer exist, now you can also use the means of transport for such (leisure) activities.
Use now:
The change is also indicated on the home page of the Ministry of Health. There it says under the heading “Frequently Asked Questions” that use is now (also) allowed “to go out to public places outdoors alone or with people or pets living in the same home.” It is also clarified on the home page that means of transportation can now also be used to run errands outside of basic necessities (“to buy goods or use services”).
For all trips, regardless of purpose, it is mandatory to wear a mouth-nose protection from Tuesday (April 14). The only exceptions are for children up to 6 years old.
