The musical, released a year ago by Thomas Zaufke (music) and Henry Mason (text, direction), is based on the novel of the same name by Edmund de Waal and covers the story of the once wealthy and powerful Jewish family Ephrussi, who passionately collected art objects.
Linz’s production won the 2019 German Musical Theater Award in four categories. Anyone who hasn’t seen the sold-out piece live or wants to see it again has two days to do so: the video will be available for 48 hours.
