“Hello Jew” handwritten by Paul McCartney
The lyrics to the Beatles song “Hey Jude”, handwritten by Paul McCartney, has been auctioned in the United States. At an online auction, the musical keepsake fetched more than $ 900,000, significantly more than the estimated price of $ 160,000. The text was used by the Beatles in 1968 when the classic was recorded at Trident Studios in London.
A rare drum head from drum maker Ludwig named “The Beatles,” in which Ringo Starr played in San Francisco in 1964, reached $ 200,000, four times the estimated price.
Over 250 Beatles memorabilia auctioned
The “All the Beatles” auction included a total of more than 250 memorabilia, including instruments, albums, posters, drawings by Paul McCartney and an ashtray that Ringo Starr used in the 1960s. The auction coincided with the 50th anniversary of the official breakup of the band in 1970.
