Esterhazy’s new cultural platform esterhazy @ home and the opera in the quarry allow you to enjoy art from home.
EISENSTADT DISTRICT. Under the motto “We stay home, but only with music”, Esterhazy offers the opportunity to experience recordings of classic Haydnsaal concerts or an impressive opera from the St. Margarethen quarry at any time.
Diverse program
The productions are broadcast every Friday with the best image and sound quality. Haydn, the quarry operas from 2014 to 2019 can be found online by those interested in culture, as well as in artist interviews or in the creation of works.
Flexibility is required
“At times like these, great flexibility is required and with the onset of the crown crisis, we are faced with the question of how we can digitally map our diverse cultural offerings. Our esterhazy @ home platform is a contemporary solution that also helps us keep in touch with our visitors until we can personally greet them again. Anyone who wants to experience opera in the quarry live will have this opportunity at Giacomo Puccini’s ‘Turandot’ next year, as production was postponed to 2021, ”explains Daniel Serafin, artistic director of opera at the quarry.
Background stories on Facebook
The cultural highlights are raised on Fridays on the Fidelio cultural platform, and interviews, music tastings or virtual greeting messages from different artists are expected on Mondays and Wednesdays. These are displayed on the Facebook page of the Esterházy Palace.
