Wargaming launches the “Road to Berlin” game mode for the World of Tanks tank shooter today. In it, players compete against computer controlled opponents. The new mode will be available for free from May 4 to 18 to honor the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe, according to the press release:
“In Road to Berlin, players join one of five units to join forces on the side of Soviet, American, or British forces. Using unique abilities such as air and artillery strikes or special ammunition, players must complete mission objectives different and sequential on four new maps. Players will have to conquer and defend specific areas in Road to Berlin, then defeat or eliminate specific enemy targets. Only players who work with their other four team members and develop common tactics will be successful.
The battles will take place on four maps specially designed for Road to Berlin; including the new map of Berlin. The first three cards will be playable starting May 4; The Berlin Card will not be available until the afternoon of May 8, the official time the weapons were silent 75 years ago.
