Since the pandemic began in March, 200 people have been victims of the virus in Vorarlberg.
Since midnight, 127 new infections have been recorded in Vorarlberg, compared with 93 recoveries. With three more deaths, the crown’s death toll rose to 200 on Saturday.
The number of people actively infected with the coronavirus in Vorarlberg has increased from 31 to 1,818 compared to the previous day.
Stable situation in hospitals
The situation in the country’s hospitals remains stable. Of the 64 intensive care beds nationwide, 18 were occupied by corona patients. According to Saturday’s figures, a total of 88 corona patients are being treated in hospitals.
The number of infected hospital employees (68) and employees (12) who were quarantined as contact persons decreased.

As of Saturday afternoon, there were ten municipalities in Vorarlberg with more than 50 actively infected. In three municipalities, the number of cases exceeded 100, namely in the cities of Dornbirn (278), Feldkirch (171) and Bregenz (125). Eleven of the 96 municipalities in Vorarlberg were free of the corona virus.
Seven-day incidence
According to the crown board of the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), Vorarlberg had the incidence of seven days per 100,000 inhabitants on Friday with a slightly downward trend in the middle of all Austrian federal states. With 193 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days, Vorarlberg was behind Salzburg (282), Carinthia (269), Upper Austria (230) and Styria (206).
The Austrian average of the seven-day incidence was 191 on Wednesday.
With seven-day incidents between 159 and 236, the four districts of Vorarlberg are currently in the midfield (lower) compared to the other 90 Austrian districts.
