A 17-year-old boy was killed in a motorcycle accident in the Perg district of Upper Austria on Friday night. The Amstetten district driver drove his motorcycle without authorization on the Danube Treppelweg from Wallsee towards Au an der Donau around 6 pm
He bypassed a barrier in the municipality of Mitterkirchen in the dark, probably due to the lack of lighting in the vehicle, as announced by police on Saturday morning. Despite emergency braking, the motorcycle driver was no longer able to avoid a collision and suffered fatal injuries. The 17-year-old was only found at the crash site around 9 p.m.
