The Houston Astros and Tampa Bay Ray will continue their seven-a-side American League Championship series Monday afternoon at Petco Park in San Diego. Rays took a 1-0 lead in the series after winning Close Game 1 on Sunday.

Astros right-hander Lance McCullers Jr. will start for Game 2. Only four innings were played in ALDS Game 1 against Cculars Athletics. He gave up five runs (four earnings, three home runs) on nine hits and scored five runs. McCullers is 1-0 with an IRA of 75.7575, five of his career not starting ason.

Rays will confront right-wing Charlie Morton. Morton was part of the 2017 Astros team that won the World Series. He signed with Rays as a free agent during the 2018 se no fee off. Morten won his game by starting against 3 ALDS Yankees. He allowed six strikeouts of two runs (one earned) on four innings and two walks on five innings. In three postseason starts at Tampa, Morton is 3-0 with a 1.20 ERA. When the Astros and Ray faced each other in the ALDS last year, Mort allowed one run and scored nine runs in five innings in the Tampa Bay Game 3 win.
