As promised by Ubisoft, the next big update of Assassin’s Creed Valhala is coming tomorrow – it’s November 26th, if you’re reading this at a later date.

The patch notes are predictably wide. Update 1.0.4, just promises a large number of improvements in everything. Gameplay, visuals, AI, user interface – a lot. Speaking of new features, PS5 players can look forward to the new graphics option. You can choose between performance (60 frames-per-second on dynamic 4K) and quality (30 frames-per-second at maximum resolution).

Content

Introducing graphics / bonus mode

Added an option to the game that allows players to choose between performance or visual quality.

Feature Crash:

  • This option is available for PlayStation 5.
  • Choosing a display Allows the game to accept resolution and graphic settings to maintain 60 fps.
  • Choosing quality Enables the game to run at maximum resolution and graphic settings while maintaining 30 fps.

Casual

  • Added a new background image on the title screen.
  • Added various VFX to enhance the visuals.
  • Added an option that will automatically assign all knots on the path while gaining central skills.
  • Added rune classes to the rune menu. All runes are now classified into Weapon and Armor runes.
  • Added warning when switching to a language that supports TTS.
  • Sliders can now be moved with left / right arrows on M&K and controllers.
  • Increased the fabric limit to 82.
  • Once the settlement level 6 is reached the fabric will be added to the merchants.
  • Added offering altar needs on world map.

Balance

  • Updated gear on gear quality and their proper values.
  • Added murder damage statistics to the character statistics page.
  • Removed duplicate gear from inventory.
  • Heavy and light attack statistics will now be properly aligned based on acquired skill nodes.
  • Heavy attack modifiers will no longer be applied to series attacks.

Game Updates

Performance and stability

  • Improved stability and performance.

Save games

  • Fixed some instances where Load Game Save would not display games properly.
  • The renamed cloud saves them to make them more special than regular save.
    • Previously Cloud Save was only released with a cloud icon. They will now be called, for example, “Manual Save Cloud”
  • Saves the cloud from the removed save menu. This will ensure that it is not overwritten inadvertently.
  • A notification was added when the cloud save retrieval failed.

Graphics, Audio Dio, Animation

  • Addressed various graphical issues across the board.
  • Addressed various FX issues.
  • Addressed various examples of clipping issues.
  • Focused on various visual issues with Ivar’s cloak.
  • Addressed various examples of player or NPC animation problems.
  • Addressed various audio dio issues.
  • Addressed various issues of lighting.

The world

  • Addressed various texture or object budget placement issues.
  • Addressing some instances where the player may get stuck in certain places.
  • Fish in Norway will now be caught in bad weather. Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like BT aint for me either.
  • The crows will no longer come randomly from the sky to Asgard. * Bad omens, huh? *

Gameplay, Combat, A.I.

  • Addressed various bow-targeting issues.
  • The behavior of NPCs and bosses has improved across the board.
  • NPC will now respond to player theft … so think twice before stealing!
  • Notice when dogs start barking when Eve or Pets start petting
  • Blocking Springled projectiles as intended will now consume stamina.
  • Zealots hit by a sleep dart can now be suddenly attacked. Tight leep ng.
  • The Zelots will no longer heal themselves when players are around.
  • The guards who had clearly seen Ivar shoot his mate would now be hostile. * Press Emergency Button *
  • Guards will now hear the impact of the bodies falling to the ground.
  • Improved reactions of the guard to the whistling.
  • Improved disguise in the distrust zone.
  • Shooting surrender from the longship now takes the arrow.
  • Players will now be able to air kill Sleeping NPCs. * Cruel … *
  • Behavior to improve fish is improved.
  • Gallup addresses the issue of not using animation in horse combat.
  • The crowd will now be cheerful during drinking games. *You better. *
  • Work sliding mechanic.

Quests, world events, side activities

  • The killing sequence drew attention to the point that it would not work for some targets.
  • Addressing various texture issues during cutness.
  • Addressed various issues with quests or world events that prevent players from completing.
  • Players will no longer be able to use phishing tools or horns while intoxicated with Tewdr – * You’re drunk, go home. *
  • Sub Questions will now display the correct “portion” of the parent quest.
  • Now a memory stream can be selected when starting a new game if the hold option is turned on.
  • Increase the frequency of experienced passengers.

User interface / HUD

  • Addressed various issues with user interface / HUD.
  • Addressed various issues of localization.
  • Secrets will now be found while synchronizing the viewpoint. (This pathfinder does not apply to trouble)
  • Experienced travelers are now illuminated on the world map and on the compass when nearby.
  • Players noted the issue of not getting maps updated after getting Intel from an experienced traveler.
  • Odin’s visual radius increased and enemies would no longer be illuminated.
  • Improved radius in which the sinine keys show.
  • The visual distance of the material reduces the sinus.
  • Improved objective beam behavior.
  • Settlement building beams can now be viewed using the Odin site.
  • Improved enemy target-lock mechanic.
  • “Sell all trinkets” will now turn gray after all trinkets are sold. * Cha-ching! *
  • The power level of the bosses will now be displayed on their health gauge. This does not apply to regular enemies.
  • Regular brightness settings will no longer apply to HDR exposure settings.
  • Codex will no longer preview or spoil some events.
  • (A11y) Desktop access and content on Lela’s laptop while menu narration is on is now described.
  • (A11y) Colorblind filters are now properly applied to mini-quest logging and ride tutorials.

Abilities and skills

  • The Valkyrie addresses the issue that players could no longer use any abilities when the ability dive was disrupted.
  • Ally NPCs or horses can no longer trigger body traps. * Some people just want to see the world burn?
  • The display addressed the issue where the toxic powder trap could disappear after using sinine.
  • Adjusted chain-killing behavior. Players will no longer be able to kill the target that was landed.
  • Pre-heavy dual-build skills) secondary hand slots will no longer be available when equipped with a two-handed weapon.
  • The flaming powder traps will now explode while walking on the arrow.

Raids

  • “Force Open” will now display properly even when close allies are in combat.
  • During the proposal the allies drew attention to the point that Ivor would not help open the door.
  • Once the raid is over the allies will return to Longship.
  • Added a timer until players could just resume a raid that had just ended.

Photo mode

  • The no-filter option will now work properly.
  • Territorial panel will no longer be displayed in photo mode.
  • Replacing filters will now work as intended.
  • Addressing the issue that a service online service error can occur temporarily when viewing photos on a world map.
  • Snow FX will now focus on the camera instead of the player in photo mode.

System

  • Added extra checkpoints to some boss fights.
  • Focused on the point that would cause the controller to vibrate constantly.
  • After closing the menu with the start focused on the issue that players may get stuck in the black screen.
