MTV announced the nominations for the 2020 Video Music Awards on Thursday (July 30). Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga lead with nine nominations each, including a co-nomination for “Rain on Me” Video of the Year, followed by Billie Eilish and The Weeknd with six each.
There are two new (timely) categories this year: the best music video from home and the best quarantine performance.
Starting today, fans can vote in 15 categories, including Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Best Quarantine Performance, and more on this link through August 23. Voting for the PUSH Best New Artist category will continue on the show next August. 30)
The MTV Video Music Awards 2020 2020 will air on Sunday, August 30 at 8:00 p.m. ET, live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
