Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) – Apple’s Market Cap Earns $ 2 Trillion. So what’s next?

Apple, Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) hit a major milestone this week when it became the first company to reach a $ 2 trillion market cap.

Apple certainly has a massive opportunity ahead with the launch of its first 5G iPhones, but some investors are skeptical about how much growth potential remains for Apple shares.

$ 3 trillion in advance? Gene Munster of Loup Ventures said that, despite the skepticism, Apple has a clear path to a valuation of $ 3 trillion.

“Apple’s current and future golden guzzlers (wellness, AR, autonomous systems) are becoming central to our lives in this new world,” Munster wrote.

Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives agrees that Apple is likely on its way to $ 3 trillion.

“By 2023, we believe that given super-cycle potential and service business,” Ives said. “While the soft macro and COVID background weighs on near-term trends for consumer demand, Apple has a ‘once in a decade’ chance in the next 12 to 18 months, as we estimate roughly 350 million of Cupertino’s 950 million iPhones worldwide in the window of an upgrade opportunity. “

Region rating: Cowen analyst Krish Sankar said Apple’s appreciation relative to its historical reach has been overstated, but that may not necessarily be a red flag.

‘What has really changed is the mix has shifted. You’ve seen more of a mix shift to side of services. And I think that’s one of the reasons you’re seeing it grow more, ‘Sankar said.

But while Apple may still have remained upside, Cerity Partners analyst Jim Lebenthal said investors are wise to take some profit on the stock after its impressive run.

“I cut it a few times this year. And that’s certainly a crime for me, but on the other hand, even after trimming, it’s still a 5.5% position in my portfolio, which is very large for anyone running a diversified portfolio, and that itself, that is underweight for the market, ”said Lebenthal.

Apple’s traded around $ 470 at the time of publication.
