Apple Play today announced the winners of the 2020 App Store Best Awards, validating the remaining apps and games for the iPhone, iPad, Apple Play and Watch, Apple Play TV and Mac. The company has also shared its traditional list of the most popular apps of 2020.
The best apps of 2020
Wakeout! The best iPhone app of 2020 was selected, developed by independent developer Andres Canella. The app brings fast and light exercises that can be done by anyone in home office fees and classrooms.
The popular Zoom video-chat app has been named the best iPad app of 2020 because it keeps students from all over the world learning from their homes during the epidemic. Zoom was also the most downloaded free app on the App Store in 2020.
For the Mac, Fantastic by Flexibits was voted the best app of 2020 available on the App Store. The app is a popular calendar option for mam kos users that brings advanced features for meetings, task management and synchronizing everything between different platforms.
Disney + won Apple’s Apple TV app of the year, while Endel – the app designed to help users focus, relax and sleep – was named the best app of the year for Apple Watch.
The best games of 2020
Store Paul has another category in its annual awards dedicated to the games available on the App Store. This year, the open-world game Jenshin Impact was voted the best iPhone game. For the iPad, Apple chose RuneTera Legends from Riot Games as Play Player of the Year.
Disco Elysium, a detective RPG game, was named Game of the Year for Mac – considering only the things that are available on the App Store. And finally, for Apple Pal TV, the game of Fear of the Fear of Trials was chosen. Fear Trial of Fear was developed by a Brazilian studio and brings many challenges to the 2D universe.
Apple Play also selected Apple Play Arcade, the best game available on the company’s subscription gaming platform. Sneaky Sasquatch 2020 was the choice. The game was introduced last year and lets you “live a life of saskatch” by walking through campsites, cooler food from picnic baskets, fishing on the lake and more.
2020 application trends
In addition to the best apps and games of 2020 for the iPhone, iPad, Apple Plus TV, Apple Plus Watch, and Mac, Play also released some of the other great apps available on the App Store. Include Shine in this, go to Whiteboard, Carabou, Pokemon and explain everything to Sherhamil.
Users will also be able to find two lists with the top apps and games of 2020 on the App Store Today – which brings Zoom to the top of the rankings, Ticket OK, Between Us, and C of DF Duty: Mobile.
The developers behind these apps will be given an aluminum app store icon with the name of the winner engraved on the other side.
