Apex Legends Season 6 August 20 Update Released, Patch Notes Revealed

A new one Apex Legends Season 6 update has been released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in addition to the official patch notes. Furthermore, developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher EA have confirmed that an update of the playlist will also be released later today. Although this second update is not yet live, the couple also released the patch notes for this one. That said, despite there being two updates today, the patch notes are pretty thin, suggesting that the update is pretty small.

The highlights seem to be some fixes on Rampart, the game’s newest hero added this week in addition to the launch of Season 6. In addition, Respawn has reduced the number of gold helmets, gold backpacks, and gold snapping shields, though it does not say no to how many.

Below you can check out the full and official patch notes:

  • Rampart Amped Wall client failure in soft gore locations
  • Fix a server bug that caused an immediate disconnect when Rampart crashed a wall
  • Fix an error caused in some cases where a player sits on the Rampart tower when it is destroyed
  • Problem getting specific Bloodhound skin from an extended neck when using Rampart turret. We’re still working on this issue for Lifeline’s Guardian Angel skin
  • The finisher line of “Boom” by Rampart of playing over the card
  • Do not display Kill Tracking for R-99
  • In addition, we’ll be releasing a playlist update later today to do the following:
    • Reduce damage from devotion [17 -> 16] , and increased recall – these are rapid changes we can make now, more adjustments to Devotion that will take more time to do will come later.
    • Reduce the number of clues and turbochargers spawned
    • Reduced number of gold helmets, gold backpacks and gold encapsulation the blame

Apex Legends is available for free on PS4, Xbox One and PC. It is also currently scheduled to come to Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X later this year.

In the most recent and related news, a new map has been leaked online, suggesting that the game may soon be heading to a tropical island.
