Players of Apex Legends could quickly get new emotions that they can really use on the ground during a game, if new leaks are to be believed.
Season 6 of Apex has already brought players a lot of new content and a new legend, Rampart. And now it looks like we’ll be up to date as well, even on the ground emotions, according to some new leaks.
We’ve had skydive emotions in Apex since summer 2019, but nothing in the way of those that can actually be used once you fall into a game like you can do in games like Fortnite or Overwatch – until now, that is.
In a screenshot of one of the recent dev streams, shared by Apex leaker shrugtal, we can clearly see an unprecedented icon next to it for the skydive emote.

Now, this new screenshot by itself confirms absolutely nothing. The mysterious icon cow be for a new kind of emote, but there is no way to know from only the image itself.
However, that is not all the evidence we have. Another Apex leaker named Biast12 also shared datamined video, which apparently shows a new Mirage emote, which certainly looks like it could only take place on the ground, during a match.
It consists of the Legend giving one of its specimens a high-five, with the illusion disappearing as soon as it makes contact. The video shows the freezing in the air, but this simply means that he has disappeared, according to Biast12.
just indicating that it is called “stand_emote” may mean that we will get emotional soon at some point👀

The leaker also pointed out that the file name of Mirage’s high-five was called “stand_emote”, which makes it certain that we will get ground emotes in Apex Legends hopefully sooner rather than later.
It may not be as game-changing as a new Legend as a weapon, but the new feature would do a lot to breathe more life into the game’s characters and the world at large. What do you want your favorite legends to be new to on the ground emote? Let us know on Twitter @TitanfallBlog.
